Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has lavished praise on Daniel Sturridge following his recent run of form.
The Reds boss spoke following his side’s 1-1 away draw at Chelsea in the Premier League, shortly after Sturridge salvaged a point for Liverpool with a thumping strike from distance.
After a difficult period filled with several injury problems, Sturridge appears to be in a strong position to kick on for Liverpool. As quoted by the Mirror, Klopp hailed his striker’s fitness as the best its been since his appointment as manager.

He is in the best shape since I’ve known him, since we’ve worked together. Before that, he was in fantastic shape. He was always a bit unlucky with injuries and stuff like that. That’s how it is, timing in life is pretty important.
Sturridge has been utilised predominantly as a backup striker behind Roberto Firmino this season. However, the England striker’s form is sure to hand Klopp a selection headache as he continues to fire for the Reds.
Now, the timing is perfect. We need him desperately and he is fit. He is so fit – the fittest Daniel I have known. So, all good.
The experienced forward will be desperate to turn in another strong performance this week as Liverpool compete in the Champions League once again, with a trip to Napoli ahead.
