Napoli star Lorenzo Insigne has been discussing why his side must stop Roberto Firmino in their fixture against Liverpool on Wednesday, as per a report from the Mirror.
The Italian international sat down and spoke to the press ahead of the Champions League fixture at the Stadio San Paolo and was quizzed on the threat that Liverpool pose.
When asked about who he felt the Reds’ main source of danger was, Insigne was quick to point out Firmino’s influence, describing the Brazilian international as a ‘decisive’ player for Liverpool.
Roberto Firmino is the most decisive player because he comes to play between the lines and opens the spaces to his team-mates.
Firmino has enjoyed a strong start to the new season and proved to be the difference-maker in Liverpool’s first Champions League fixture of the campaign. He came off the bench to find the net late on as the Reds narrowly defeated PSG 3-2 at Anfield.
Insigne, too, has been in fine form for his side this term. The 27-year-old has hit the back of the net five times in Serie A this season and will be out to inflict damage on Jurgen Klopp’s men on Wednesday.
