According to a report in L’Equipe, UEFA have contacted French authorities to investigate the Champions League group stage clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Red Star Belgrade.
PSG and Red Star are in Group C, along with Liverpool and Napoli, but there is now a cloud of suspicion hanging over the game played between the pair, a game which PSG won 6-1.

The allegations relate to suggestions that a senior figure from Red Star Belgrade tried to place a bet of almost €5 million on his team to lose the game by at least five goals, and they did just that, falling to a 6-1 defeat.
The reports say that UEFA alerted the French national finance prosecutor about the incident prior to the game, but the allegations were not made public and only UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin and a few of his closest associates were aware of the investigation.
Liverpool’s next two Champions League games will come against Red Star, the first of which will take place at Anfield on October 24th.
