Liverpool have reportedly hired a former Brazilian journalist to be part of their South American scouting network.
Dassler Marques had been a football reporter with Brazilian outlet UOL, but now claims that he has been hired to work for the Reds.
The ex-journalist tweeted last night that he had left the field of reportage, and would now be employed by Liverpool Football Club.

Translated by the Liverpool Echo, Marques said:
After learning, dreams and mostly friends made, I left UOL today. Time to fly out of journalism, learn new things, make other dreams and make new friends on a new team. I now work as a Scout (Observer) of Liverpool in Brazil and a. Latina.
Liverpool’s global scouting network has grown exponentially in recent years, all under the general guidance of sporting director Michael Edwards.
With Roberto Firmino, Fabinho, and Alisson making up a talented contingent of Brazilian Reds, Marques will be tasked with finding their successors.
