Alisson named as world’s best goalkeeper
Liverpool shot-stopper Alisson has been named as the world’s best goalkeeper in a list of the world’s top fifty players by Goal.com.
The Brazilian, who joined the Reds this Summer in a bumper transfer deal worth over £56 million, has been named as the best of the goalkeepers in the list, thanks to his form for Liverpool and Roma.
Alisson has impressed many since joining the Reds, following a good World Cup last Summer with Brazil.
The former Roma man earned his move to the Reds after a stellar season with the Italian side last time out. Roma made it all the way to the Champions League semi-finals, before being dumped out of the competition by Liverpool.
Despite a shaky start, including a big mistake against Leicester, Alisson has been solid between the sticks for the Reds.
The goalkeeper’s form has seen him named as the best shot stopper in the Goal 50 list, which will be published in full next week.
