Former Liverpool striker John Aldridge has backed the club to sign Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Aldridge has claimed that Mitrovic could be a great option off the bench for Liverpool when they need a plan B in games.
Liverpool beat Fulham 2-0 at the weekend, with Mitrovic having a goal controversially ruled out for offside.
The 25-year-old has scored five Premier League goals in 12 appearances this season, after netting 12 in 17 in the Championship last season for Fulham.
He spent the second half of last season on loan to Fulham, before completing a £27m move from Newcastle in the summer.

Aldridge wrote this about Mitrovic in The Liverpool Echo:
I was also impressed with Aleksandar Mitrovic. He’s the type of player you’d want coming off the bench, he’s big, strong and scores goals.
He gives you something that little bit different and I like him as a squad player.
The way Liverpool play they could do with someone who provides a bit of diversity and a Plan B.
Mitrovic has also scored 21 goals in 44 caps for Serbia, with 10 in 11 appearances during 2018.
