Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain means that the Reds have it all to do if they are to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Qualification is still very much in their own hands, but simply winning the game against Napoli by any scoreline isn’t enough to see them through.
So how can the Reds make it to the Last 16?
Firstly, any type of victory will be enough to put Liverpool through if PSG don’t get all three points in Belgrade when they face Red Star.

If, as is expected, PSG do claim a victory in that game in Serbia, then Liverpool will either have to beat Napoli 1-0 or by two clear goals (if Napoli score at Anfield) in order to advance on the Goals Scored rule as the teams would be level both on Head to Head Record and on Goal Difference.
If PSG defeat Red Star, a Liverpool defeat, draw or win with a one-goal margin against Napoli will see Jurgen Klopp’s men fall into the Europa League.
If Red Star pull off another famous win against PSG and Liverpool lose to Napoli, the Reds will finish bottom of the group and will not be playing any European football for the remainder of the season.
