Wolves are reportedly showing an interest in bringing Dominic Solanke to the club on loan in January.

According to the Mirror, Nuno Espirito Santo is eyeing up the Liverpool striker as a good addition next month, adding depth in attacking areas.

Wolves face competition for the 21-year-old, however, with Steven Gerrard interested in taking him to Rangers.

Liverpool already have two loanees at Ibrox – Ovie Ejaria and Ryan Kent – and Gerrard’s connection with the Reds could work in Rangers’ favour.

Huddersfield have also been linked with Solanke, as they desperately search for more goals to help keep them in the Premier League.

They may also be in a stronger position than Wolves, given Jurgen Klopp’s close relationship with Terriers boss David Wagner.

A January move makes total sense for Solanke, who is yet to play a single minute for Liverpool this season.

He has shone for England’s U21s, though, scoring four times in two games during last month’s international break.

There is undoubted potential in Solanke’s boots, but it is difficult to see where his chance will come at Liverpool this season.

The likes of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi are all ahead of him in the strikers’ pecking order at Anfield.
