Liverpool target Christian Pulisic has been told to leave Borussia Dortmund by former United States international Alexi Lalas, claiming it is ‘time for a change’, the Liverpool Echo report.
The 20-year-old, who is being tracked by the Reds, along with Premier League rivals Chelsea, has excelled in the Bundesliga over recent years and is out of contract in 2020.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp worked with Pulisic briefly at Dortmund and tried to bring the winger to Anfield back in 2016, however, an offer was turned down.
Since then, the American has continued to consistently perform in Germany’s top division, with Dortmund reportedly preparing to cash in on the £70 million rated youngster, who looks set to turn down a new deal with the club.
And fellow countryman Lalas, who earned 96 caps for the United States in seven years, has revealed he believes Pulisic should move on from Dortmund to join a ‘higher profile’ team.
I think he’s done a great job in going over to Germany, he’s done a great job at Borussia Dortmund.
But I think it’s time for a change right now for Christian Pulisic, and a change to an even higher profile team.
The former United States defender then went on to heap praise on the wide man, labelling him as a ‘phenom’.
(Pulisic) is one of the phenoms in the world, he just happens to be American.
There’s going to be pressure to win, and to deliver. He’s a very young player so he’s still getting better.
