Alexander-Arnold spotted in protective boot following injury

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold was pictured earlier today wearing a moon-boot, while in attendance at a promo event for Battlefield V.

The 20-year old full-back limped off with a foot injury against Napoli on Tuesday night, when the Reds won 1-0 to progress into the next round of the Champions League.

While the extent of Alexander-Arnold’s injury isn’t yet clear, the England international is clearly unlikely to be available against Manchester United on Sunday.

With Joe Gomez also on the sidelines following a recent leg break against Burnley, James Milner could potentially deputise at right-back, unless Nathaniel Clyne is fit enough to play.

The Reds will be hoping to get one over their bitter rivals at Anfield on Sunday, with Jurgen Klopp keen to keep the pressure on Manchester City.
