Trent Alexander-Arnold has been an example of the resurgence of the Reds under Jurgen Klopp. Young, unproven and fierce; ready to be called into action at any given point. He has been nothing short of exemplary for both club and country so far in his career.
However, the dark forces that are the media and football pundits have an agenda. An agenda to displace him from his already perfect position in the puzzle.
Compared already to a young Steven Gerrard, the Scouse teen has been lauded for his performances at full-back. His passing range is astonishing for such a young lad and many believe it to be wasted in his position. This is where the agenda comes in.
Previously a midfielder, many have suggested that Alexander-Arnold should return to his boyhood position; a move which would supposedly benefit both club and country. A move I strongly disagree with.

Alexander-Arnold is arguably up there as one of the finest full-backs Liverpool have had in the Premier League era and has the potential to go on to become a Kop Legend.
Fellow Scouse native Jamie Carragher was moved from a centre-forward for the benefit of the team and the rest is history. If that doesn’t point towards the old saying of ‘If it ain’t broken, don’t try and fix it’ I don’t know what will.
Alexander-Arnold and Liverpool have the chance to revolutionise the full-back position. A chance they should grab with both hands and throw 50 metres up the field, ready to drift a cross in.
The young defender can learn from the careers of Dani Alves and Cafu; combining his sensational defensive qualities with his dangerous, attacking mindset. He can be the idol of English and European youngsters to come; showing that no matter your age or position, hard work shall always prevail and doing your best for the team moulds winners.
So this is a call to Jurgen Klopp, to Gareth Southgate and to any other future manager that has the pleasure to coach Alexander-Arnold. Keep him at full back, stick to your guns and make this team a team of winners. You have our faith.
