Liverpool central defender Joe Gomez is set to undergo surgery on Monday on his fractured leg.
According to Paul Joyce, of The Times, Gomez is expected to play again before the end of the season.

Gomez last played for Liverpool at the start of December, in a 3-1 win over Burnley in the Premier League – only to pick up the knock during the match.
The England international had a fine start to the campaign and had established himself as Liverpool’s first-choice centre-back next to Virgil Van Dijk, before sustaining this current injury.

He also signed a new contract in December. Gomez committed his future to Liverpool, signing a deal that runs through to the end of the 2023/14 season.
Speaking to Liverpool’s website, Klopp said this:
It’s a blow for the boy and for us – because prior to the injury he was in such fantastic shape.
But he is too valuable to take any risk with, both for our present and future, so we get this procedure done and he comes back when he’s ready.
His attitude during this rehab has been outstanding but it just hasn’t healed as we’d have liked so we will make this intervention and then he will come back.
Joel Matip, Dejan Lovren and Fabinho have all partnered Van Dijk at the back for Klopp’s side in recent weeks.
