James Milner has responded brilliantly after being questioned about Liverpool’s current struggles.
The Reds have suffered a disappointing time of things since returning from a training camp in Dubai, drawing against Leicester City and West Ham.
It has damaged their Premier League title hopes, but fate remains in their own hands for the time being.
Much has been said since the West Ham game, in terms of the pressure getting to Liverpool.
Milner gave the perfect riposte to the Liverpool Echo when asked about whether he feels anxious about the Reds’ situation, though:
Concerned about being top of the league in February? No, I’m happy!
We are clear at the top of the league in February. There is a long way to go, a lot of games, tough games. We have just got to keep going.
If someone said we’d be three points clear at this stage of the season you’d have taken it.

There were people saying at the start of the season that Man City are the best team the Premier League has ever seen and stuff like that, so just to be close to them is good for us.
We just want to concentrate on our games. Playing for relegation and livelihoods and people’s jobs, that’s pressure.
Being at the top of the table, we should be enjoying it.
There is no doubt that the pressure is going up a notch in the title race, but Liverpool’s slight drop-off has been greatly exaggerated.
The last two performances have not been good enough, without question, but it is a slump that Jurgen Klopp’s side will get out of.
The Reds host Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, with three points and a returning to winnings ways vital.
