Lovren still sidelined with muscle issue
Jurgen Klopp has updated fans on the fitness of Dejan Lovren ahead of Liverpool’s game against Bournemouth at Anfield.
As reported on the official club website, defender Dejan Lovren remains sidelined with a muscle injury.
The defender has only featured in nine Premier League games this season, With Joe Gomez overtaking him in the pecking order.
The aim for Lovren is to be back fit for the clash with Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League last 16 on February 19th.
Klopp said:
Dejan is not available. No [timeframe], we work on the Bayern game, but we don’t know exactly.
With Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez already out of that match, Klopp will be eager for Lovren to be fit in time.
Elsewhere, Liverpool have been given a number of huge injury boosts as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum have all trained this week ahead of the Bournemouth fixture.
