Jurgen Klopp took his Liverpool squad to Marbella this week as they continue to prepare for a crucial period of the season.
Having been knocked out of the FA Cup, the Reds have no competitive fixture to partake in this weekend, allowing the German to work closely with his group of players abroad.
Liverpool will play Bayern Munich in the Champions League round of 16 first leg at Anfield after the short break, so preparation will need to be of the highest order.
The Reds trained for the third time in Marbella on Wednesday. We’ve taken a look at what we spotted from the session!
Wijnaldum returns to training after illness
Georginio Wijnaldum has suffered from an illness recently but returned for the third training session. His participation will come as a big fitness boost to Klopp.
Oxlade-Chamberlain's knee can help him hold up Mane!
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is on his way back from a long-term knee injury but appears to be making good progress. So much so, that there is a picture of him carrying teammate Sadio Mane in Marbella with ease. It seems he’s nearing a return to action!
No knee support for Alexander-Arnold
Trent Alexander-Arnold was working with a knee support on the first day of training. However, he appears to have shaken this knock off and was working without any brace on Wednesday.
Milner and Fabinho back in full training
James Milner and Fabinho both made their returns to full training. They were solely working on their respective fitnesses in the last session but are back with the group and back in action.
Shaqiri is still not in full training
Xherdan Shaqiri still isn’t in full training. He has been absent from the group in recent times and doesn’t appear to be ready to make a full return just yet.
