Marko Grujic has been enjoying a fruitful spell on loan in the Bundesliga.
Since joining Liverpool in 2016, the central midfielder had spent time on loan at Cardiff last term, before securing a season-long move to Hertha Berlin for the 2018/19 season.
It took a Serbian a while to get going in Germany, but the 22-year-old has appeared in six domestic matches since the league’s resumption after a winter break, impressing in those first-team chances.
Speaking to ESPN, the Belgrade-native said:
Of course, it’s nice to hear the praise, especially from people at the club because they are with you every day and they rate you — as a player and person,
If I keep performing like I do now, then there are more chances to come back to Liverpool for another season,

Speaking of his Liverpool career, Grujic said:
I think [there is a] plan for the future,
From every chat we had so far, I thought that they really think about me.
Maybe I was expecting to play a bit more, but so far I’m happy how I improved in that time. Of course, my target was to be a regular player of Liverpool and I’m still thinking I can do that.
In life, it never comes without any issues or problems. It will come, I’m sure. I’m still young, 22, and the time works for me.
We know how Liverpool play with one No. 6 and a double eight and I’m not really bothered about that. I can play both positions. In preseason we will see what is the best for me and for the team.
A lofty, physical midfielder, one wonders what a midfield featuring both Grujic and Fabinho might look like.
