Timo Werner will set Liverpool back a considerable chunk of their transfer kitty, according to RB Leipzig chief executive Dietrich Mateschitz.
The striker has been linked to the Reds in recent months, and stories such as this go some way to corroborating the interest that had been initially reported.
With a history of tricky negotiations with the Bundesliga side (need we remind you of the Naby Keita saga…), it seems as though Leipzig are no less bullish now than they were in the past.

Quoted by Goal, Mateschitz said in reference to Werner:
For sure that player will not be cheap.
The Reds are not the only side interested in acquiring the 22-year-old however, with Bayern Munich also said to be coveting the versatile speedster.
The Goal report goes on to state that a current valuation of £50 million sits on Werner’s head, which would presumably increase in a biding war.
