Bundesliga side Schalke have made a move to sign Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi.
Neil Jones of Goal reports that Schalke are looking to make the Reds youngster the next Premier League player that they lure over to Germany.
Domenico Tedesco’s side completed a deal to sign Welsh international Rabbi Matondo from Manchester City earlier this season.
Awoniyi has been impressing while on loan with Belgian side Mouscron. Jones’ report claims that Liverpool are confident that they could fetch up to £10 million for the youngster.

It remains to be seen what future he has at Liverpool, but Schalke were keen to discuss the player with Jurgen Klopp directly.
Awoniyi signed a long-term contract last year and will not be short of suitors looking to take him on loan next season if the club decides against cashing in on him.
The 21-year-old had spent time on loan at Gent earlier in the season but re-joined Mouscron in January.
