Liverpool have contacted German Bundesliga club RB Leipzig regarding striker Timo Werner, according to a report on the Mirror.
The striker is being monitored by a number of clubs and Liverpool are desperate to beat all competition for his signature.

The Reds have asked Leipzig to keep them informed about Werner’s situation after the German international agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich, even though the two clubs held no talks.
He is seemingly eager to move to Bayern at the end of the season and his agent Karlheinz Forster negotiated a deal with the Bavarian club.
But, Werner’s contract with Leipzig expires in 2020 and the German club are not yet willing to let him leave.
He has a price tag of around €60m and Leipzig have offered him a bigger and better deal to stay at the club.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants to strengthen his side’s attacking department and Werner is a proven goalscorer.
