Liverpool wrote another chapter in their illustrious European history on Wednesday night. After a 0-0 draw at Anfield, Liverpool toppled Bayern Munich in what was a relatively comfortable 3-1 win.
Sadio Mane opened the scoring with a brilliant goal before Joel Matip’s own goal pulled Bayern level before the break.
But Liverpool had too much for the Germans as headers from Virgil van Dijk and Mane again sealed the deal and Liverpool’s place in the quarter-finals.
