Everton are being linked with a surprise move to sign long-term Liverpool target Nabil Fekir.
According to reports in Italy, Liverpool’s Merseyside rivals are eager to sign the player who came ever so close to becoming a Red just a few months ago.
Fekir, who had been linked with a move to Anfield for some time, had completed interviews with Liverpool’s in-house media team before seeing a deal fall through in the final moments, for reasons that are still unclear to this day.
Having impressed in Ligue 1 with Lyon, Fekir has been heavily linked with moves away from the club in the past, with German heavyweights Bayern Munich among the teams also interested.
Securing a deal to sign Fekir from Lyon would certainly be considered as a coup for Everton if their interest is indeed true.
Whether or not Fekir ever finds himself in the Premier League remains to be seen.
