Bayern Munich are in “advanced talks” with RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner, according to a report in Calcio Mercato.
The forward’s contract is set to run out in 2020, and the club are reportedly eager to receive payment for the forward rather than lose him to free agency.
As such, numerous clubs have been linked with moves for the German international, including Liverpool.
However, it seems as though the Reds may be beaten to the 23-year-old’s signature, who has been in strong form this year, bagging 14 goals in all competitions.

A speedy attacker, capable of turning out on the wing too, his versatility had been a major factor in linking him to Merseyside, with Jurgen Klopp’s side looking for fresh offensive options.
With striking options Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge both rumoured to be on the cusp of leaving Anfield, many Liverpool fans had expressed great interest in adding the clinical Werner to their ranks.
