Liverpool are “keeping close tabs” on Norwich City youngster Ben Godfrey, according to Football Insider, with the Reds eyeing up a possible summer move for the 21-year-old defender.
Godfrey has been a key figure for Norwich this season since breaking into the team in December, helping them top the Championship.
He has made 28 appearances in total, as promotion looks more likely by the week for Daniel Farke’s side.
Liverpool transfer guru Michael Edwards is believed to have sent scouts to watch Godfrey in action on a regular basis.
Capable of playing at centre-back, left-back or in a defensive midfield role, the youngster’s versatility would appeal to Jurgen Klopp, who has always been a keen advocate of youth.
Norwich are keen to keep hold of one of their most prized assets, but there is plenty of interest from other top clubs, too.
Godfrey is likely to cost upwards of £10million.
