And breathe. After Lucas Moura cancelled out Roberto Firmino’s opener, it seemed like Manchester City had a clearer path to the Premier League title.
But Liverpool pushed on and found a 90th-minute winner courtesy of a Mohamed Salah header that was directed by Toby Alderweireld into his own net.
The Reds started the game well and piled on the pressure in the first half as Spurs struggled to cope with Liverpool’s full-backs, but a much better side came out in the second half and gave Liverpool a proper run for their money.
In the end, the hosts got the winner and held on, jumping over City by two points with an extra game played after Pep Guardiola’s side’s win against Fulham.
