Adam Lallana is absent from Liverpool’s squad to face Southampton on Friday night, with the midfielder missing through a slight muscle issue.
The injury prone 30-year old has endured a hellish time over the past few years with the Reds, having fallen foul to a number of injuries during his time at Anfield, including thigh, calf, hamstring and groin issues.
Jurgen Klopp recently made an admission that Lallana had begun to move past his injury issues, while the former Southampton man made only his sixth Premier League start in two years against Fulham last month.

However, according to Standard Sport Liverpool correspondent David Lynch, a new flare up has caused the midfielder to miss out against his former side.

Naby Keita comes into the side for the Reds, while both James Milner and Jordan Henderson remain on the bench.
Liverpool will be looking to continue their recent momentum, as they currently sit just one point behind Manchester City, who are top of the Premier League table.
