Liverpool reclaimed top spot in the Premier League with an impressive 2-0 win over Chelsea at Anfield. Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah were the scorers for the home side.

The first half went to plan for Maurizio Sarri’s men, who kept their shape well and were dangerous on the counter. The Reds had two chances, one each for Mane and Salah, but the visitors thwarted those.

The second half began with the home side moving the ball quicker and creating more chances. The deadlock was eventually broken in the 51st minute when Jordan Henderson clipped in a beautiful cross for Mane at the far post. The Senegal international then had an open goal to head the ball into.

Two minutes later, Salah picked up possession on the right wing and hit a rapturous shot into the top corner from 30 yards away.

Chelsea had two good chances after that, both of which fell to Eden Hazard, but the Belgian hit the post with one and had his effort saved by Alisson moments later.

Liverpool controlled the game for the final 15 minutes and saw it out to go back to the top of the table.
