Barcelona have quickly responded to Jurgen Klopp’s comments about the Nou Camp, with the German saying that is ‘just a stadium’.
Ahead of Wednesday’s huge Champions League semi-final between Liverpool and Barcelona, matters have heated up between the sides off the pitch.
In his pre-match comments, Klopp played down talks that the Nou Camp is a temple of football and instead said that it is ‘just a stadium’ to prove his team are not fearful heading into the first game.
This has clearly angered Barcelona, as they swiftly took to Twitter to respond saying: “This is the Camp Nou. Our house. Our temple”:
Twitter: Esto es el Camp Nou
Nuestra casa. Nuestro templo. Nuestro fortín.

Liverpool have their first-leg at Barca this Wednesday, before the return leg at Anfield a week later.
The last time these two sides met in the Champions League was in the round of 16 stage of the 2006/07 season. Then European Champions Barcelona were shocked by Liverpool as the Reds advanced on away goals as the tie finished 2-2.
In the meantime, Liverpool will travel to face Newcastle on Saturday evening in a game they will need to win to put the pressure on Man City ahead of their game on Monday evening.
