A bittersweet end to the season as Liverpool come away 2-0 victors against Wolves on the final day of the season but that just wasn’t enough as they finish second to Manchester City.
Liverpool needed to win and have City drop points to become champions and things started off great as Liverpool took the lead shortly before Brighton went 1-0 up against City.
But City tied things up just over a minute later and it was pretty much beyond doubt after that.
Liverpool added another to make it 2-0 but City’s 4-1 win sees the Reds 97 points just fall short.
The game was a bit dull and slow as Liverpool knew their faith but in the end, the Reds did what they needed to do.
