Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt has finally spoken out about his future amid interest from top clubs around Europe.
The Dutch international has been part of the Ajax team that stunned Europe by knocking out Real Madrid and Juventus in the Champions League before being heartbroken by Tottenham in the semi-finals.

The defender is on course to lift the Eredivisie title after his side defeated FC Utrecht 4-1 at the weekend, leaving them three points clear of second place with just one game to go.
However, the Dutch side could end up losing their captain with Liverpool, Barcelona and Manchester United among the interested clubs.
De Ligt’s teammate Frenkie De Jong leaves the club in the summer to join Barcelona after signing for them back in January and the Spanish champions have their eyes on bringing the defender to the club with him.

According to Metro, as reported by the Liverpool Echo, de Ligt was asked whether he had made his last appearance for the Dutch side and his response was very interesting.
I don’t know yet. There have been conversations but there is still no agreement.
Liverpool are still in the hunt for the defender but may have to look elsewhere to strengthen their defence as the summer transfer window opens in a few weeks.
