Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure has enjoyed another successful season at Vicarage Road and will end it with a trip to Wembley this weekend, but a few top English teams are in the hunt for the player.
Doucoure has been a key player in a Hornets squad that have reached the FA Cup final, and the Frenchman is set to feature against Manchester City this weekend with the 26-year-old sure to play a huge part in the fixture.
Top clubs around Europe are setting the Frenchman as one of their targets with Liverpool also keen on gaining the midfielders signature.
According to Teamtalk, Liverpool and Chelsea are both keen on bringing the defensive midfielder to their clubs this summer but PSG have been after the star for the past year.
L’Equipe, as cited on Teamtalk, have spoke to the midfielder about his future endeavours and the links for a move to PSG. He said:
I do not dream of a particular club.
Of course PSG is one of the biggest clubs in Europe, but I don’t have in mind to want to go to PSG at any particular price.
I would like to stay in the Premier League, I think it’s the best place to express my qualities as a player.
From there it depends on the offers and many other things, I am very open. If something happens then so be it, otherwise I’ll be happy with Watford’s jersey.
I gave everything for three seasons, and if I stay one more season, I’ll be happy, and if I leave I’ll be happy too.
Everyone knows what I want, but it may not be necessarily happen as I wish.
Watford will want to keep their hands on the midfielder as he is a huge player in the team and it is clear to see why Liverpool are after the Frenchman.
