Kane set to return for Champions League final

Tottenham striker Harry Kane has suggested that he will be ready to play against Liverpool in the Champions League final later this month after spending the end of the season on the sidelines.

The England striker has been hit with a few injuries this campaign, with his latest one keeping him out for the remainder of the Premier League season.

However, the Londoners have received some good news ahead of the final in Madrid.

According to the Evening Standard, the forward has claimed that he is sure he will be in a good position to feature in the Champions League final.

Despite his injuries, the Tottenham star has slotted home 24 goals this season and will look to add more to his name throughout the summer after being selected for England’s Nations League squad.

Kane spoke to the media, as cited on the Evening Standard, after their comeback in Amsterdam and the England international gave an insight into his recovery.

He said:

Rehab is going well. I started straight-line running this week and I have to start training even harder to prove myself to the gaffer.

Having not kicked a ball for Spurs in over two months, the question remains if Kane will make a massive impact in the game but it is certainly a boost for manager Mauricio Pochettino.
