Liverpool pulled out of a deal to sign Lloyd Kelly from Bristol City after learning the Championship club’s asking price, according to reports.
The Bristol Post claims that the Reds were interested, but it was Bournemouth who were ready to stump up the initial £13 million for the left-back.
It is believed that the deal will rise above £15 million, making Kelly’s move to Bournemouth a club-record fee for Lee Johnson’s side.

Liverpool had been heavily linked with a move for Kelly for some time as he continued to win himself admirers in the Championship.
With Alberto Moreno likely to be on his way out of Anfield this summer, Liverpool may need to find themselves another defender to provide competition for Andy Robertson.
The Scottish defender has been largely unchallenged this season, but it remains a position that the club will need to address when the transfer window opens ahead of next season.
