Liverpool youngster Corey Whelan could be heading to the Bundesliga at the end of his contract on Merseyside.
According to a report from Football Insider, the promising defender is a man in demand this summer, and two clubs from the top flight of German football have expressed an interest in recruiting him.
Whelan sees his deal at Anfield expire at the end of the month, with Liverpool prepared to let him leave on a free transfer. However, upon his exit, he will not be short of potential suitors.

Football Insider reports that clubs from the second tier of Germany are also interested in the prospect, while Football League outfits in England are contemplating moves as well.
The right-back is an international for the Republic of Ireland’s Under-23 team, but despite his early potential, never featured for Liverpool at senior level.
Whelan will now seek pastures new, and it seems he could be the latest youngster from the Premier League to arrive in Germany, should offers come in this summer.
