Now that the schedule for the 2019/2020 season has been released, Premier League and football fans alike all over the country can analyse where and when they’ll be playing next season.
However, for Liverpool, their first move has been postponing their pre-season friendly game against Bundesliga side Schalke that was due to take play on 6 August, as confirmed on the club’s official website.
This is because of the Reds’ Friday night fixture against Norwich City that is a day sooner than they expected, and now the reshuffling of the warm-up games begins, starting with the date against the Bundesliga club.

Champions League winners Liverpool will take on the newly-promoted Canaries on Friday 9 August, and this is seen as too soon for the squad to fully recover from a friendly game against the German opposition, planned initially for just three days before.
Schalke endured a turbulent season in the Bundesliga and were only able to finish 14th. Former Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner has been appointed as their new manager.
