Real Madrid have reignited their interest in Sadio Mane and are reportedly willing to offer the £85million rated Marco Asensio to Liverpool as part of a deal to sign the winger.
According to the Daily Mail via the Express, Los Blancos recognise the fee they would have to pay in order to prize Mane away from Liverpool this summer and are therefore looking to use Asensio to lower the price.
The Spaniard has previously been linked with a move to Anfield after struggling to establish himself as a key figure for Real, and the report suggests Tottenham are also interested in a move for the 23-year-old.
Mane finished last season as the joint top-scorer in the Premier League alongside teammate Mohamed Salah and Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with 22 goals, and Liverpool understandably have no desire to sell the Senegal international.
Madrid have shown an interest in signing Mane in the past but no formal offer has been submitted.
