Andy Robertson has undergone surgery on his infected hand and will be available to travel with Liverpool for the pre-season tour of the United States.
The 25-year-old was wearing a bandage on his right hand as he returned to training at Melwood this morning alongside team-mates Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum.
Despite undergoing a minor operation to heal the infection, it’s not seen as a serious condition and he’ll still be travelling Stateside with Jurgen Klopp’s squad for games in Indiana, Boston and New York.
He didn’t immediately take part in the standard drills and tests in training and won’t feature in the Reds’ fixture at Bradford City tomorrow afternoon.
Liverpool face Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and Sporting Lisbon across the pond as they prepare to build on what was a terrific 2018-19 season in which they lifted their sixth Champions League title and earned a record Premier League points tally.
