Liverpool and Manchester United target Nicolas Pepe looks like he could be about to snub a potential summer move to the Premier League.
According to Di Marzio, Pepe’s agent is in Italy trying to conclude a lucrative deal with Napoli for the Ivorian international.
Lille’s talisman had an extraordinary campaign last season, contributing 22 goals and 12 assists in all competition.
It was reported by La Voix Du Nord, as cited by GFFN, that the Reds were involved in the race to secure Pepe’s signature. However, they will face competition from across Europe after his stunning season in France.
If Pepe does not join the current European Champions, it could give the likes of Rhian Brewster, Ryan Kent, and Harry Wilson more opportunities to break into Jurgen Klopp’s first-team plans next season.
The Liverpool boss has recently played down any potential summer transfers, but could look to add another attacker to his ranks.
