Liverpool target Bruno Fernandes looks like he will ignore the current European Champions to join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side this summer.
According to Di Marzio, Fernandes and Manchester United are closing in a deal.
The player has been heavily linked with a move away from Sporting this summer, however, it looks like the playmaker will end up at Old Trafford.
The Portuguese ace had a brilliant campaign last season, scoring 20 goals and contributing 13 assists in the league from midfield.
It was reported by Correio de Manha last month that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was “looking for an opportunity” to sign Fernandes.
Undoubtedly, if the Portugal international was to join Liverpool, he will add a new breath of fresh air into the squad. The current midfield set-up lacks goals and assists and Fernandes could have been the perfect player to change that.
