Liverpool end their pre-season campaign with an impressive 3-1 win over French side Lyon in Geneva.
Jurgen Klopp’s men behind within two minutes, when Alisson made a hash of a simple catch and gave the penalty away. Memphis Depay stepped up and planted his effort into the back of the net.
Liverpool responded well though with Xherdan Shaqiri doing some good work to set up Roberto Firmino. The latter then scored the equaliser from a very tight angle to mark his return into the team.
Four minutes later, a splendid cross from Ki-Jana Hoever was turned into his own net by Joachim Andersen to give the Reds the lead.
In the second half, Klopp’s men kept their intensity and Harry Wilson scored a screamer from 25 yards in the 53rd minute to extend Liverpool’s lead.
All in all, a good work out for the whole squad as they gear up to play the curtain raiser against Manchester City this Sunday at Wembley.
