Liverpool winger Ryan Kent will be Leeds United’s key summer target if Kemar Roofe completes his move to Anderlecht as expected, but will the Championship side be able to stump up the cash?
In a Q&A on The Athletic website, respected journalist Phil Hay said that Kent will become Leeds’ top target if and when Roofe moves to Belgium, but will Liverpool be willing to let him go and if so, for what price?

Kent spent last season on loan at Rangers and the Scottish side were interested in loaning him again this year but Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool decided that the best course of action for Kent would either be to stay at Anfield or move somewhere permanently, as aged 22, it’s time for him to settle down and build a career.
Liverpool are almost certain to let Kent leave, but the Reds have been very good at getting big transfer fees for players in the recent past, with Dominic Solanke just one example.
Leeds will reportedly get around £6m for Roofe, and I think that Liverpool will want more than that for Kent, so the Yorkshire side might need to throw a couple of million on top of the money they’ll receive for their striker.
