Many Liverpool fans have reacted online to the news that Jurgen Klopp may be forced to reprioritise domestic cups this season.
Mirror Sport report that Fenway Sports Group, parent company of the football club, have informed Klopp that he is to focus on retaining the Champions League title and winning the club’s first Premier League title, abandoning pursuits of the FA Cup and EFL Cup in the process.
Having won the FA Cup seven times and the EFL Cup eight times, FSG are more keen on finally adding a Premier League title to their trophy cabinet, while retaining the Champions League would be financially beneficial and would continue to grow the club’s global brand.

This move would mean that Liverpool fans would need to expect fewer trips to Wembley, should Klopp decide to field weaker teams in the domestic cups.
Several fans have reacted to the report on social media, with a number of fans frustrated with FSG’s approach to domestic success.
