These LFC fans react as legend shuts down Alexander-Arnold and Wan-Bissaka comparisons

Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright believes no comparisons should be made between Trent Alexander-Arnold and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The young right-backs are unsurprisingly being compared at the moment, especially since Wan-Bissaka joined Liverpool’s bitter rivals Manchester United this summer.

Taking to Twitter, Wright responded to a statistics-based Tweet claiming the United man was having a superior season so far:

Some Liverpool fans, and well as other supporters, have backed up the ex-Gunners man on Twitter, agreeing with his assessment of the pair.

As Wright alludes to, Alexander-Arnold’s current standing is far greater than Wan-Bissaka’s, and there should be no current comparisons.

It’s also easy to forget that United’s new signing is 11 months older, highlighting how remarkable Liverpool’s right-back’s progress has been.

In terms of defensive work, it could certainly be argued that Wan-Bissaka is the more competent, but Alexander-Arnold is a far more creative, influential attacking talent.

A few statistics two games into the season shouldn’t mask that and the Liverpool youngster will continue to be the more formidable player moving forward.
