Liverpool will be aiming to keep up their good start to the season when they face Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday evening.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have won both of their Premier League games so far in 2019/20, in addition to the UEFA Super Cup success last week.
The challenge to continue their winning record is a tough one, however, as Arsenal also come into the game as the only other team to have won their two league games.
Unai Emery’s men have looked sharp going forward and could cause a lot of problems to a Liverpool back-line that has been prone to conceding chances at regular intervals.
On the other hand, the Arsenal defence has also looked shaky, and if the Reds are on their game, scoring goals shouldn’t be a problem.
In terms of team news, Alisson and Naby Keita are still recovering from their respective injuries – there is no return date fixed for either of them.
Nathaniel Clyne is a long-term absentee, but Klopp otherwise has no new injury concerns.
Here’s how we think Klopp may line-up his XI for the game on Saturday…
GK - Adrian
In the continued absence of Alisson, Adrian is almost certain to be in goal against Arsenal.
How will he recover from his error at Southampton last weekend?
RB - Trent Alexander-Arnold
The youngster has made a quiet start to this season, but he possesses the quality to turn it around in an instant.
A potentially open game against Arsenal could help him impact more in the final third.
CB - Joel Matip
Even though Joe Gomez is fit and is a very good option, Matip seems to be bettering him at this stage.
The latter should start on Saturday, even though his lack of pace could be a possible issue.
CB - Virgil van Dijk
The Dutchman is one of the most irreplaceable members of this Liverpool team.
He hasn’t kept a clean sheet yet this term, though, and will be aiming to do that against the Gunners.
LB - Andy Robertson
After a mixed bag in pre-season, Robertson has improved as the games have progressed in recent weeks.
He also keeps his place at left-back in Premier League games.
CDM - Fabinho
A week’s gap between the Southampton game and this one must have helped Fabinho in recovering from the cramp he suffered in the Super Cup win over Chelsea.
The Brazil international will be ready to start against Arsenal, sitting in front of the defence and combining expert positional sense and good use of the ball.
RCM - Jordan Henderson
The captain came off the bench against Southampton, as Klopp rotated his team on the south coast.
He is in line lead his team out at Anfield on Saturday.
LCM - Gini Wijnaldum
In big games at home, Wijnaldum has been one of the underrated stars for Liverpool.
The Dutchman is expected to start tomorrow, even though he has made a quiet start to the season.
RW - Mohamed Salah
The Egyptian star loves to play against Arsenal and has a good record against them.
He will be aiming to put up another good show on Saturday, adding to his solitary goal so far this season.
ST - Roberto Firmino
Firmino is another player who dearly loves playing against the Gunners, scoring eight times overall.
The last time these two teams met at Anfield last December, the Brazilian scored a memorable hat-trick in a 5-1 win for the Reds.
He is a certainty to lead the line.
LW - Sadio Mane
On current form, Mane is one of the hottest properties in the Premier League, if not the world.
Arsenal’s defenders will be wary of him on Saturday, as he looks to add to his three goals already in 2019/20.
