Liverpool have their best chance yet of winning the Premier League this season, despite the brilliance of Manchester City.
Former Reds midfielder Danny Murphy believes Jurgen Klopp’s men will go all the way in 2019/20, telling Mirror Football that City’s focus could be on Champions League glory:
I think Liverpool will win the league this year.
Only one club had done it three times on the trot and I think Man City will be so Champions League focused.

City remain the favourites to win three successive Premier League titles, but there does appear to be more of a backing behind Liverpool this season.
As Murphy alludes to, the distraction of the Champions League could play a part, with huge pressure on Pep Guardiola to win the competition as City boss.
On top of that, the champions are a slightly ageing squad in comparison to Liverpool, albeit with numerous players still in their prime.
So much is going to depend on who comes out on top when the two sides face each other in the league, with the Reds realistically needing to beat their rivals at least once in the two meetings.
Klopp’s side sit top of the table after three games – there’s no reason why that can’t be the case after 38 outings.
