Liverpool’s unplayable front-three are not only Europe’s best attacking unit, but arguably the greatest in the Reds’ history.
The magnificent trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino have been a joy to watch over the past three seasons, scoring and assisting for fun for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Speaking on The Gary Neville Podcast, former Manchester United man Gary Neville hailed the brilliance of Liverpool’s attackers, following Saturday’s 3-1 win over Arsenal:
One of them can have an off day and the other two can be OK, one of them can be sensational, it doesn’t really matter.
One of them’s always performing, one of them’s always at it. In one week you’ll come and think ‘well he’s not at it today’ and then the other one turns up.
And I said it in commentary, three £30m signings that have turned into £150m players.
Goalscoring, electric, work hard, press from the front, win the ball back, assist, create danger all the time and are a nightmare.

It’s easy to go overboard about something in the present, overrating it in comparison to years and decades gone by, but Salah, Mane and Firmino are on course to be Liverpool’s greatest attack of all time.
That doesn’t mean they are the best individually – the likes of Sir Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush and Luis Suarez are superior to Firmino, as an example – but the balance and cohesion they have makes them unparalleled.
As Neville alludes to, all three were signed as good players, but they have become great ones under Jurgen Klopp.
Every team in the world fears them, and with the trio all currently 27 years of age, there is plenty more to come.
Their long-term standing could depend on how much silverware they win at Anfield – more trophies should be expected if current evidence is anything to go by.
