Rhian Brewster played a starring role for Liverpool’s U23s on Monday night, as they overcame Southampton.
The young Reds won 4-2 in an entertaining game, with Brewster opening the scoring for Neil Critchley’s side.
It was a typically nerveless finish from the 19-year-old, following a slick one-two with Curtis Jones.
Liverpool supporters were left impressed with Brewster’s impact on Twitter, as he again displayed his goalscoring knack:

I think Brewster should be given a chance to lead the attack in the cup games this season tbh

Read Liverpool Verdict
Brewster was tipped to be a regular fixture in Liverpool’s first team squad this season, but that hasn’t yet been the case.
It is important to remember that the striker has only recently returned from a long injury layoff, however, so patience is required.
He is better off playing for the U23s than sitting on the substitutes’ bench for the Reds, picking up invaluable game time in the process.
Brewster’s chance will come this season, most likely in the EFL Cup, and a huge future will come his way.
