Bobby Duncan was dropped by Liverpool’s U23s for their game against Southampton on Monday night, following strong interest from Fiorentina.
It was recently reported that the 18-year-old was the subject of a £10 million bid from the Italian side, according to 90min.
Reports have suggested that the young striker is growing increasingly frustrated by a lack of first team opportunities in Jurgen Klopp’s team.
With several players on the periphery of the side above Duncan, such as Rhian Brewster, he is unlikely to feature for Liverpool in the near future.
The news comes less than a month after he had been included on the club’s pre-season tour of the United States.
He also featured on English shores, scoring in the win over Tranmere Rovers at the beginning of the summer.
When you consider that youngsters such as Brewster and Manchester City’s Phil Foden are waiting patiently for their first team chance, Duncan’s proposed move away could indicate a lack of patience.

Deciding whether or not to sell young talent is always a tough decision.
Liverpool have reportedly held firm with regards to Duncan, wanting to keep him at the club.
In essence, retaining the 18-year-old’s services will require a lot of work. He is a talented player with much potential, but there are clearly some behavioural issues that need to be worked on.
Duncan recently removed Liverpool-related content from his social media accounts – in this day and age, that seems to be an indicator of a player’s stance on club matters.
As a result, the Reds dropping the goalscoring machine from the latest U23s game was the correct decision.
With an impending bid from Fiorentina, the youngster needs to carefully consider his options with the club.
