Liverpool maintained their 100 per cent start to the new Premier League season with a comfortable 3-0 win over Burnley at Turf Moor.
Goals from Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and a Trent Alexander-Arnold assisted Chris Wood own goal were enough to see off the Clarets, who lost just their second game of the season.
Alexander-Arnold kicked off proceedings around the half hour mark, when his cross was deflected off Woods’ back from distance to loop the ball and high and far beyond Nick Pope into the top corner.

Mane scored shortly afterward after being fed by Firmino, who capitalised on a poor pass from Ben Mee to double Liverpool’s lead.
Firmino then became provider turned scorer, firing in from the edge of the area after being teed up by Mohamed Salah.
Reacting to the result on Twitter, several Reds fans expressed their delight at the club’s early season consistency in results and performances.
