Roberto Firmino has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award for August.
The Brazilian has made an outstanding start to the season for Liverpool, scoring twice and registering three assists, as the Reds have topped the league table and clinched UEFA Super Cup glory.
‘Bobby’ has become one of the most popular figures at Anfield, earning huge praise for his eccentric personality and sublime performances leading the line.
He will do battle with Sergio Aguero, Ashley Barnes, Kevin De Bruyne, Teemu Pukki and Raheem Sterling for the award.

Firmino has been Liverpool’s best player in the opening month of the season and his nomination is fully justified.
While Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane often earn more headlines, the Brazilian is the glue that holds the Reds’ attack together.
His subtle genius is a joy to watch and there isn’t a striker in world football better suited to Jurgen Klopp’s system.
On current evidence, he is the front-runner for Liverpool’s Player of the Year award – long may it continue.
