Scotland fell to defeat on Friday night as they were beaten 2-1 by Russia at Hamden Park.

READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT
Whilst Robertson did have a poor game, he was not helped by his teammates or the tactics employed by Scotland during the match. Their midfield constantly invited pressure on the defence and their wingers failed to track runs from deep, leaving Robertson with far too much work to do at times.
Yes, he should have done better with his clearance for the first goal and was guilty of some loose passes – but he has proven time and again for Liverpool that he is a top-quality left-back, with his excellent assists from the left and solid defensive play.
